Sutton Schools Netball Rally at Overton Grange School

Last Saturday (29th April), a team of mainly Year 5s and 6s went to Overton Grange to participate in the annual netball tournament. This is the last netball event of the year and lots of schools are always there to play! It was an early start to the day, with our first match v Cheam Common at 9:15am! The girls were unlucky to only draw this 1-1 but played some fantastic netball with lots of passing and shooting. We then played two more games against All Saints Carshalton and Abbey Primary - both of these were quite tough! However, the girls didn't give up and played really well throughout. The last game against Regina Coeli was another quite close game. The girls played really well as a team once more and had a few shooting attempts! We lost 2-0 but this is a great achievement as Regina Coeli came second in the whole tournament. Well done, girls!

Thank you also to Mrs McDowall and Miss Beckford for coming to support us during our games.

The team: Maria, Ellen, Charlotte G, Amelia, Charlotte L, Eve, Neve, Claudee and Karis.

Well done to the netball team for representing Bandon Hill fantastically throughout the year and we hope that the Year 6s continue to play netball next year at secondary school!
