On Tuesday our Year 5 and Year 6 cricket teams went to Westbourne
Primary School to play some friendly matches. Last year, we made it to
the finals of the Sutton Borough Cricket Competition and were beaten by
Westbourne. They were a tough opposition and this was certainly true for
their teams this year. Both of our teams sadly lost their respective matches
but there was some fantastic talent on show.
Harry's bowling was on point and he managed to get two wickets in the one over he bowled.
Richard only gave away a 4 during his over with all the others being dot balls. While batting, Billy
managed to smash three 6s in one over and between him and Harrison D they scored 22 in their 2
overs. This was the Year 5s first cricket match for the school and with many of them not playing
before they preformed brilliantly.
Well done to all the children who took part and we look forward to the return match later this
year.
