The pupil premium is additional funding to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. At Bandon Hill Primary, we are determined to ensure that our children are given every chance to realise their full potential. Pupil premium funding, along with allocations made from the school's own budget will help ensure this money is spent to maximum effect.
The Government is providing additional funding in order to improve the provision of physical education and sport in primary schools. This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to schools to be spent on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children. All state-maintained schools, academies, middle schools, special schools and pupil referral units which have primary aged pupils (as reported in the 2013 school census) will receive the funding.
